168 Hours

168 hours in a week and you don’t think you have the time?

Truthfully I struggled with that for a long time myself

I then started auditing my time..

But let's break it down.

You sleep 8 hours a night (yeah right!). Thats 56 hours a week, so 112 hours left.

Work a full time job? 8 hours a day, thats 40 more hours, and lets add 2 hours a day for commuting as well, so now we have 50.

62 left.

Supermarket, haircut, picking kids up from school, laundry, other errands. Lets say 90minutes a day...even though we arent dong all these things everyday. 10.5 hours a week..lets call it 11 for simple math

51 hours left

Cooking and eating, 2 hours a day. Again, likely less..considering how much take out people get nowadays, 14 a week.

37

Family activities. Lets say 3 hours a day, again, being a parents and someone who used to coach youth sports, I think we are being generous here and some days it maybe more, but most days..likely less. Thats another 21 hours!

16 to go

or about 2.5 hours a day.

Well lets say we get a 1 hour workout, 4 days a week, 4 total hours. We also do some meal prep, another 2 hours a week. thats 6 more hours..

And you still have 10 left over..

10 HOURS to redistribute towards your goals, family, other hobbies, watching sports or your favorite show.

So, is it that you dont have time, or choose to waste a lot of what you do have.

Before you say “I’m too busy” just rephrase it as “it’s not important to me” .. things change quick when you learn how to prioritize
